Do I need to install anything on the screen?
No. Any modern web browser works — a smart TV, a laptop, a Mac or PC, or a Raspberry Pi kiosk. There's nothing to download on the display itself.
How do I connect?
Open this page on your screen and press Connect Display. A QR code appears — scan it with the OnFire app on your phone and you're paired. Prefer not to scan? Use the short code shown on screen instead.
Does it work on a smart TV or Raspberry Pi?
Yes. Anything with a browser can be a display. For always-on signage we provide a Raspberry Pi provisioner that boots straight into a fullscreen kiosk and pairs with a scan.
What happens when the QR code expires?
It refreshes automatically. Each code is short-lived for security; the screen generates a fresh one on its own, so there's never a stale code to scan.
Is it secure?
Pairing uses one-time QR sessions and expiring codes, and every connection is authenticated. The screen only ever shows what you send it from your signed-in app.
Can the display reconnect after a power cut?
Yes. After a reboot or power loss the display auto-resumes the same presentation on its own — no need to walk over and re-scan.
